My "AP" Ballot - Week 9
It is nice to have my top two teams not lose for once. Of course, that didn't make the rankings any easier.
Could LSU blow a team out, like they were doing at the beginning of the year? That would be nice, but no, they don't.
Can Oklahoma roll up the 50 points I thought they would on Iowa State? No.
Can Florida go down against Kentucky, much like LSU? Nope, they survive, confounding things because it means I think that a team with two losses, in the mess of undefeated teams and those with one loss, is the #6 team in the country. They could beat almost any team given the chance, and they have been close in every single loss. And yet, maybe they are just a year away from again destroying the world, and some unwary Big Ten foe for another National Championship.
And here is a note to Oregon. Please win against USC. I don't think I can take sitting on the edge of my seat, hoping that on the final week of the season, they manage to lose again. You do know that if USC wins out, they will likely be close to a National Championship game berth, yes? And does anyone really want that? Probably not, but it will happen.
Here is my AP Ballot going into Week 9 of the season:
- Ohio State
- Boston College
- Oregon
