My "AP" Ballot - Week 7
October 8, 2007 | By Benjamin Miraski
I thought the previous week had a lot of upsets, but that was nothing compared to this week. There are some wholesale changes this week in my ballot.
I am not sure that I even think this is correct. Truthfully, our view of college football should be very different than in years past. Look at all of the names that you wouldn't expect to be on this list right now. Illinois, Wyoming, South Florida, Cincinnati, Kentucky, and Kansas? I am not saying that they haven't been deserving this season (and I am close to adding Indiana to that list (see the MRI rankings)), but it is a big change for the voters this season, and I am sure it is a big change for some of the long time fans.
So, here you go, my AP ballot if I were a voter after this week's continuing mess:
- LSU
- Ohio State
- Cal
- Boston College
- Oklahoma
- Oregon
- USC
- Virginia Tech
- Florida
- South Carolina
- South Florida
- West Virginia
- Missouri
- Kentucky
- Arizona State
- Hawaii
- Illinois
- Wisconsin
- Cincinnati
- Florida State
- Boise State
- Texas A&M
- Kansas
- Auburn
- Wyoming
